i can not say any thing bad about the Grand Amrath Hotel .The hotel is exquisite in its elegance ,the facilities wonderful, the room fantastic !.All the staff i met were very professional and friendly and the concierge was a very pleasant gentle man who spoke to my wife and i every time we left or arrived at the hotel.Having stayed in other 5 star hotels in Amsterdam i would have to say there is no comparison the Grand Amrath is a clear winner by several milles.

Just returned from our short stay at the Okura Hotel and it was a fabulous experience. All staff are very professional, helpful and friendly.
We stayed in 2 rooms which was the family package rate and this was more than comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children (both under the age of 10). The rooms were spotless.
Buffet breakfast was great, all needs and wants were met. Again all staff at breakfast were very attentive to anything that was needed.
We dined at the main restaurant three times and the food was delicious. My children tend to be a bit fussy with their food and they kept on asking if we could eat at the restaurant, so that was one less thing to worry about.
It was our first trip to Amsterdam and the whole experience was a very memorable one.

The rooms were clean and very well equipped with tea, coffee and complimentary biscuits, fruit and two bottles of water. The bathroom was also spotless with a range of shower and bath gels and soaps. The bar is very pleasant with a great selection of beers on tap and bottled, but perhaps a little expensive. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were very good but expensive and the bill on checkout assumes that you have had breakfast on each day of your stay whether you had pre-booked it or not. There seems to be little communication between reception and the restaurant so you need to inform the staff at checkout if you have not taken breakfast or you will be charged!

Our stay at the Marriott was excellent. Breakfast was included in the rate and the selection was very good. The tram is only a 5 minute walk and is very convenient to tourist attractions. The hotel area is quiet and a nice break from the busier parts of the city.

Wonderful hotel. Well appointed but not pretentious. Fabulously helpful Concierge staff. Well located on a canal with beautiful courtyard garden. Fun canal boat ride available at an extra cost is well worth it. We loved the Pullitzer!
