I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff was very courteous, and professional. The facilities were very clean, and well kept. The hotel has an ambiance of elegance and understated luxury. I work out during my trips and I give the gym, locker room, sauna/steam room, whirlpool and pool areas a 5 star rating. The restaurant on the premises was great. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had anywhere.
The cons: The bedding could have been a little nicer. My bed was a little hard. I like my mattress a little softer. Another annoyance was a zooming/buzzing sound I kep hearing when trying to go to sleep. I think the sound was the air-conditioning unit vibrating on the roof. It was quite annoying, but only noticeable when I was trying to go to sleep. The sound was not noticeable if the TV or awesome BOSE stereo system was on. I was traveling with a colleague who stayed at another room on the same floor and he did not hear this sound.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip, unlike the previous hotel i had stayed i, the Meridian was perfect in every way, relaxing, friendly, comfort, i wish i had stayed longer. I would have no hesitation staying here again. Room 612 had a fab sea view, great TV channels, a perfect place to stay.
Stayed here on a one week business trip. It's one of the closer ones to Dhahran and Aramco. But the current road construction in front of it causes some 1-2 mile detours. For the rate I got on Expedia it's an excellent value. Really pleased with the service by all of the staff; The English skills were well above average for Khobar. Internet was consistently fast and it allowed VPN, which is critical for me. Very clean, all facilities are up to date. Room was huge and nicely appointed. Bed was very good, and they offer three levels of pillows; I like the "soft". Nice workout center/spa with modern equipment. Had a massage at a reasonable price. The biggest downside to this hotel is the VERY expensive in-hotel dining, including room service. There aren't any nearby eating options, either. I happened to know of a good mid-priced restaurant, Tandoori, that was a 10 minute walk. I had to order room service breakfast each morning, and I winced every time I saw the bill. I went to a local grocery and picked up some snacks and light fare. But the food quality was very good and it was large portions.
