We had a wonderful three nights at this hotel. The rooms were small but designed well. The beds were comfortable and the feather pillows, a real treat. The staff was very friendly and the breakfasts were outstanding. The pink slippers were a nice touch.
So the positives for this hotel are that the staff are really lovely and are very willing to help. The rooms are fabulous and clean and they gave a lovely bottle of champagne and a basket of fruit on our arrival which was a lovely touch. The beds are comfortable and the walk in shower is wonderful. The breakfasts are great with a huge variety of healthy to not so healthy. This is a wonderful business/conference facility.
The negatives of this hotel are, the main historic hotel is currently just a shell, there is no pool and nowhere outside to sit and relax. The only area where this could be possible is outside the breakfast restuarant which shut at 10.30am everyday and the sprinklers were on the grass making this impossible. The building work started at 8am every day and was very noisy. The hotel informed us the week before travel that the pool wasn't ready, they said it would be ready in October, they forgot to mention which October - the work is not scheduled to finish until October 2014! They arranged for us to go to the Therme to use their pool with transport laid on, however the Therme doesn't have a pool. We felt we were misled by the hotel as we had a 3 way conversation with them and Expedia before we went, there is no mention on their website of the extent of renovations and all this was known when we booked our holiday in early March by the hotel but they waited until it was impossible for us to book elsewhere and then did not give us the full facts.
We looked for a hotel en route from London to the Italian Coast. This was so much more. Perched in a beautiful location on Mont Blanc, impeccable welcome, care, spa, dining, and really exceptional value. This hotel is unbeatable. It is almost so good that you would rather no one else knew...

I had a good time at this hotel as I got a great rate - I would have been very disappointed if I'd paid full price. The room we had was pretty old and tired (there was refurbishment going on there though). The spa area was lovely but we were there in low season and it was pretty full - I think it would be crammed in high season.
What a fantastic hotel!!
Unfortunately I was only staying for three nights so didnt get chance to visit the spa and relax, however what I did experience in the hotel was absolutely faultless.
My room was excellent, nice and quiet black out curtains, comfortable bed, very pleasant bathroom and plently of space. Modern but understated fittings, clean crisp bedding!! What more could you want for a good nights sleep.
Then the skiing, the reason I stayed here. It is two minutes walk from the cable car.
The only slight issue I had was that they tried to charge me for two bottles of water from the rooms mini bar, when in fact I had brought them into the hotel myself and the hotel went from what was in the bin. After I explained this the water was removed from my bill.
Hopefully you wont all rush there as I want to go back next year and I dont want it to be fully booked! Yes I will return!
