Marriott Spa & Resort is a nice hotel with a great Waikiki location. Beach adjacent, this hotel is close walking distance to shopping and restaurants all along the main drag of Waikiki, Kalakaua Avenue, the Hawaii Zoo
and Diamond Head.
I don't need anything fancy on my vacations but when I got to the Outrigger I was really impressed. The rooms were really nice. A little dates but really nice. They upgraded me from the 4th floor to the 17th so the view (partial ocean) was more like an ocean/pool/mountain view! It was amazing. The staff were QUICK and friendly. I rented a car and the girl that helped me did everything in less than 8 minutes. The only bad thing was when I got in my can to leave and head to the airport the bell staff didn't tell me that most of the cabs don't accept cash so I ended up having to take a cash advance on my visa which I didn't like. The beach facilities are wonderful and overall I think this hotel was perfect and away from the crowd as much as it could be from Waikiki.
We stayed here for 7 nights in Ocean Top room which is on the 29th floor with beautiful sea view. The hotel is 5 min walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Centre where we found lots of food and shops. Though not so close to Waikiki beach, but we found it convenient as well as we purchased trolley pass where we can get on at Llikai Hotel(on red and pink line stop) which is only 100 Metre away.
We stayed for 12 nights during our wedding trip in Hawaii and had a really great stay at Waikiki Parc. The staff were all so accommodating, friendly and helpful. The staff managed to shuffle a few rooms around so that we could upgrade to an ocean view room which was well worth it. It was a beautiful start to each day, opening the shutters and stepping out onto the balcony, looking out on the stunning ocean blue. I really loved the way the simplicity of the room decorations and the shutters across all windows. Other guests stayed in the mountain view rooms and they were exactly the same as ours, but the view was more of car park and buildings than mountains. The amenities were more basic than a 5 star resort, but I thought that it was good value for money and would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel. Even with all the developments nearby, the Moana Surf Rider manages to retain its old world charm and atmosphere. Beautiful Banyan tree between the hotel and the beach and with every amenity available in a perfectly decorated historic hotel.
The hotel is very modern. Mostly younger generation stays there will make me feel great to have people around the same ago around.
Staff in the hotel is
The hotel is about 5mjn walk to Waikiki beach, not on it but not far at all. The pool area is nice but a bit small to really swim. But bar and kitchen service at the pool area is great. Gym is good size and clean.
The interior design of the room is very nice, modern and white colored with Hawaii style decoration.
The bath room design in standard room is pretty interesting.
I and my family had a great experience staying there
Its always hard to tell what the hotel actually looks like from photos. The hotel was great. We traveled with our 5 year old grand daughter. The kids pool was awesome, with a big water slide, little water slide, water fall, deep end, shallow end, kiddy pool and 2 spas. It had lots of seating and was sunny with shade cabanas to rent. On top of that it was steps from the ocean where you had a whole other experience that was just as amazing. Everyday their were activities for kids and adults, Hula lessons, flower lei making, treasure hunts just to name a few. You are in the heart of Waikiki so restaurants and shopping were a plenty. So many activities to choose from so little time. We had a hard time leaving the hotel to see other parts of the island. The staff was amazing no matter what we were asking for. We are in Hawaii at least once a year and have stayed many places and this is now one of our favorites. Some times we travel with the grand kid, sometimes we travel with the grand kid and adult kids and sometimes just the 2 of us. This hotel works for all circumstances. The pictures on line don't do the hotel justice. The only thing I would say is dont stay on the street side of the hotel. There is a loading and unloading area and the trucks use a beeping when they back up and you can hear that early in the morning.
I loved this hotel, would definitely go back. Great facilities and overall a wonderful vibe about it. Fabulous location, only one block back from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful... room was spacious, with balcony. Lovely bathroom with all the amenitities you need. Great view of the golf course & mountains. I was only there for 5 nights but could have easily stayed for longer.
