Entering the hotel with merry go rounds, kids playzone and a mini disneyland type decor was a bit different but we were led up to the hotel reception area and all became normal again. Helpful check in staff with adequate english, good ski storage facilities close to the exit area and a variety of bars and restaurants all within the one building made our stay a pleasure. There was plenty to explore over our 3 days all within the one complex
The skiing was fabulous across the 3 different peaks. If you love tree skiing then this is for you but the groomed intermediate runs were perfect for my standard too. Advice that North South wing was most convenient to ski lifts was spot on. The tower looks like it would be more convenient but definitely involves more walking and does not have anywhere near the atmosphere of the North and South wing hotel sectors. Beginners and kids areas are closest to the North and south wing as well. If you are looking for a resort in Japan which caters well for kids on and off the snow then this is it.
Stayed at the Hilton Niseko while in Hokkaido for Ironman Japan. Was greeted with excellent service, a fantastic room, and a great breakfast.
The onsen was great, as were there grounds and the running path.
Note to western travelers - A quick tip for an enjoyable breakfast experience is to head down to the omelet station which is at the farthest end, tucked away. Ask for "bird eggs", which is what they call chicken eggs. They'll gladly make you any kind of eggs / bacon.
"Great ski resort tucked away in the a quiet corner"
Love the large room that gave us ample space over the ski holiday. It's almost self contained apt that comes with a great onsen, a self service laundry n daily breakfast. The selection is not bad, but after 4 nights it gets a little stale seeing the same selection everyday.
this condo/hotel has a lot of room and is in a good location.
It has everything you will need for a night or two or as long as a week or two!
good wifi, full kitchen, washer/dryer, good wifi and a short walk to almost everything-
just be sure to NOT go into Hirafu via Hirafu train station-it is an empty building in the middle of no where- use Kutchan station and hotel will pick you up free.
