"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. It was a short walk to Waverley train station, Edinburgh bus station, and the Royal Mike. And the hop on-hop off buses were right outside if you wanted to take a tour. "

The hotel is very close to the centre of town and within easy walking distance for trains, buses and trams for the airport. I didn't have breakfast in my week there as I was meeting family but I overheard others saying how much they enjoyed theirs. "

"I can't say enough good things about The George. After falling in love with Edinburgh last year, we returned to the city and the hotel who made our stay extra special. The staff it wonderful and truly make you feel like you're home - whether they wish you a good day or welcome you back after a long day of walking up and down hills. We were greeted with smiles at every turn. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely room that looked up to the castle. Great showers, great room amenities, and cozy beds. We plan to return next year!!!"
