in an effort to save energy, the hotel has decreased the number of lights in the room. And they have installed energy saving bulbs that throw very little light. As a result you stumble around the room hoping you don't bump into furniture that you don't see due to low light. Its very irritating that the closet is on an automatic light system. The light only opens when you open the door. While you're still fiddling with your clothes in the closet ,
the light goes off. the hotel needs to change that. It's very dissatisfying to the customer.
We were totally satisfied with all aspects of our stay at the Marquette. The rooms are modern, designed well and clean. The housekeeping staff with whom we interacted were so incredibly friendly and anxious to accommodate anything we needed or wanted. We enjoyed a nice weekend in downtown Minneapolis during the holiday season and the Marquette contributed to the great experience.
