the hotel is surrounded by a tropical scene could not get a better location quiet peaceful not to far in a taxi to get in the hussel and bussel of thing like lamai or chewang .only a 10 minute stroll to the beach the whole side of that part of the holiday was like being in paradise I well recommend it to anyone with familys or couples .the hotel staff was 5* accommodating polite and very helpful there was no language barrier between us .weel reccommend

My wife and I have stayed there with our little baby girl for 4 nights, 2 in a superior room and then 2 more in a premier room, which is bigger and much more comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are very children oriented. This goes for the rest of the facilities and location; there's a kids club, 2 swimming pools, very nice garden and a rich breakfast buffet.
Location is perfect since it's located on a beautiful beach in choeng Mon Bay, with many dinning options on the beach side as well as in the small Street at the back of the hotel.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
Some cons we did found - the bathroom in the superior room is a bit old and feels out dated, no lcd TV which is very strange nowadays, and if you stay with small kids is better to ask for a ground floor.

We are just back from our honeymoon and stayed 11 nights. We were staying in a Paradise Suite right on the beach and it felt very luxurious. Very spacious and modern and it was a real treat having a huge balcony and hot tub right on the beach. The staff here are amazing. Thai people always are and my hubbie who had never previously been to Thailand was overwhelmed at how warm and helpful everyone was. The place was very clean and the breakfast had a huge choice of food. As many people have commented, the beach area at this end is very small but we quite liked being able to stand up and be in the sea in less than 10 steps. It's not the hotels fault either so not sure why people would downgrade them because of it. Location is a bit out of the main drag but we walked along the beach in about 20 mins or got a tuk tuk for 100 baht to get there.

We had the best time at Mimosa. Stayed 6 nights. The staff were very welcoming, very helpful and we were well looked after. We had 2 pool villas joined together. loved the out door showers and the plunge pools. Very traditional hotel. comfortable and beautiful grounds. Food was good and not too expensive. The beach wasn't so great but we weren't complaining as we had a few days out at other beaches. other families were friendly and the children all played together everyday which was nice.
would highly recommend!!

We only spent two days here at the end of our holiday. We swam in both pools. The beach is not that great, but it is nicer a short walk away. Our first room had some kind of weird pump that kept going on and off all night, so we asked to be moved (which was not a problem). Don't stay in 206. We had breakfast one morning in the coffee shop at the end of the complex, and we had drinks at the Irish pub. The men with the whistles who help you cross the street to the beach were helpful. The rooms are really nice - the bathrooms are wonderful, and the beds are really comfortable. We definitely would stay here again,

Check in went well with no fuss. Hotel is close to restaurants and nightlife. The only down side is the aeroplanes flying over but I guess that is to be expected on a small island. Overall a great stay.

From the moment we arrived I knew I had made a great choice in accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, spacious and well appointed apartments, beautiful gardens and pool areas. We were close enough to the beach (short 5 min drive) or if you're feeling energetic (remember it's quite hot and humid) around a 20 minute walk to Choeng Mon beach. Walking can be a little hazardous, as there are no footpaths and the traffic can get quite busy. I would recommend hiring a car (hotel staff can organise it for you) if you're brave enough to combat the traffic. Once you get used to the bikes whizzing around you, it's not so bad! It made it so much easier to travel around, especially as a family of 5. Not too far away is the Big Buddha with some great shopping and Wat Plai Laem - Suwannaram Temple is a must see. At Chaweng beach, there's lots of shopping and a large supermarket for food shopping. They also have a carpark market on Wednesday nights. We loved the food stalls, especially the bags of sweet and juicy pineapple.
