Me and my friend stayed at this hotel for two weeks. I'm in my late 20s while my friend is in her early 20s.
This was both our first time in japan. We arrived early morning at 11am, after getting into Tokyo station we decided to walk to the hotel, with the help of google maps I managed to pick up some signal to see where we were in able to locating the hotel. It was a little difficult at the end but we managed to find it in our second go. It was roughly a 25 min walk from the station.
We were greeted by a staff member at the desk who stated check in wasn't till 3pm, but we could pay an additional 1000 yen to check in now. As we were so jet lagged we decided to pay and get into the room earlier.
The lift needed your room key to work and we did have trouble with it occasionally but after speaking to a member of staff she sorted this out for us.
The cleaner was so nice and even showed us where our room was when we arrived.
The room was small but I was expecting that. It was clean and modern. We had a non smoking room on 6th floor with a double bed.
The bed fit us both in and was really comfortable, only thing I found a little hard was the pillow which seemed it had beads within it making it crunchy.
The bathroom was tin, but again I was expecting that. The toilet was modern and was one that had a warm seat which was good for those cold days. Shower was excellent and very powerful and warm. You got big bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Also within the bathr
It was hard for me to find. Make sure to use Google Maps to navigate your way. I walked from Kamata Train Station. After a frustrating navigation trial and error, I found a wifi hotspot and used Google Maps to navigate my way closer to Grand Park Hotel. Once at the nearest crossroads, I asked a nice Japanese man at a nearby cafe where it was. Once there, I was very pleased with the Japanese hospitality of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel, etc. They even offered me a cart to carry my cumbersome luggage :). The room was a bit small, but that's the norm in Japan. Amenities were great - Ironing Board and Iron, Refrigerator, HDTV, Burner Plate to heat tea, radio, hot water, A/C, and modern Japanese toilet. Bottom-line, it was clean, modern, and worth the money I paid. You will enjoy it too - just make sure to recon your route beforehand.
Efficient friendly English speaking check in staff.
Room as described - everthing worked.
Single room had a big bed although it took up most of the space.
2 minutes from Underground train.
Internet worked perfectly.
I would stay here again.
