I stayed there for one night. For this price, I didn't expect too much. To my surprise, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the most important thing is, it was very quite! Maybe I was lucky to stay in a good room.
We enjoyed our stay in Red Bluff as a part of a very long trip. We went about 11,000 kms in 14 days and hotels like this one made the trip a lot more enjoyable. When we are on a road trip we always look for a comfortable bed for the night.

For the price, the place was adequate. Clean--if old, comfortable--if a bit cramped and 'stingy' with the toiletries and stuff.
My biggest complaint is that it was advertised on Expedia for $40. Under the terms there was mention of "additional charges for extra persons", but it was me and my wife, for a single room with a queen-sized bed. Turns out, a second person is considered "extra", so it ended up costing me $50 plus tax. That's a clear bait-and-switch in my mind. When I complained to the owner/manager she claimed to know nothing about it. Indeed... Although that alone might not be enough to put me off this place forever, the fact that the "additional charge" brought it up to the same price as a half-dozen other Red Bluff hotels made it decidedly less attractive. The clear skimping on free toiletries (incl. the tiniest bars of soap I have ever seen), the ancient and VERY rough/un-absorbent towels, the ancient windows that don't open, etc. all seem that much worse when you're paying full price. So no, the place wasn't BAD, but had I known the price--actual, as opposed to 'bait' price--I would've most likely opted for a better looking or more familiar "chain" motel.
